What was the Whiskey Rebellion result? showed the new national gov't could keep law in order
What was Jays Treaty?(1794) the British navy seized American ships and carried off cargo and sailors that were trading with Franc
What was the outcome of Jays Treaty? the British agreed to evacuate their forts but made no promise to pay damages for US vessels they had seized
What was Pickneys Treaty?(1795) Washington sent Charles Pickney to Spain to work out a treaty with Spain, Spain gave the US the right to use the MS river and the port of New Orleans for trade
What did the Federalist believe? Strong central gov't, on Great Britain side
What did the Democratic-Republicans(Anti-Federalist) believe? believed in weaker nat't gov't; stronger state gov't, supported agriculture, against the Bank of US, supported France
