| charter | a formal document describing the rights, aims, or principles of an organization or group of people. |
| Indigenous | any group of people native to a specific region. |
| Governor | an official elected or appointed to act as ruler, chief executive, or nominal head of a political unit. |
| Indentured servant | a form of labor where an individual is under contract to work without a salary to repay an indenture or loan within a certain timeframe. |
