Adaption The change people make in order to fit their environment.
Anthropologist A scientist that focus on human society and how humans relate to one another.
Archaeologist A scientist that study artifacts and fossils from prehistoric eras.
Artifact weapons, tools, and other objects made and left behind by humans
Civilization Complex society with cities , organized government, class divisions, and a writing system.
Domesticate The taming of animals and plants for human use.
Fertile A large amount of usable land for farming.
Fossils The remains of a once living thing that died long ago.
Innovation The taking of existing technology or resources and creating something new in order to meet a specific need.
Nomadic Early humans that were constantly moving in search of food and shelter.
Physical feature The natural characteristics of the earth's surface (river, mountain, lake, forest).
Primary source Information that was created at the same time as an event or by a person directly involved in the event.
Resources Any aspect of the environment that can be used to meet human needs for survival.
Scarcity In short supply or shortage.
Secondary source Information from somewhere or by a person not directly involved in the event.
Surplus An excess or resources such as food.
