| Term | Definition |

| Central Processing Unit | The CPU is the brain of the computer, responsible for executing instructions and performing calculations. |
| Motherboard | Is the main circuit board of the computer that houses the CPU, memory, and other essential components. |
| Random Access Memory | Is the temporary storage where data and programs are stored while the computer is running. |
| Hard Disk Drive | The HDD is a storage device that uses spinning disks to store data, programs, and operating systems. |
| Solid State Drive | Similar to an HDD, an SSD stores data using flash memory technology, resulting in faster data access and lower power consumption. |
| Graphics Processing Unit | The GPU is responsible for rendering images, videos, and graphics, essential for gaming and graphic-intensive tasks. |
| Power Supply Unit | The PSU provides electrical power to all the components of the computer. |
| Network Interface Card | A NIC allows the computer to connect to a network, either wired or wireless. |
| Sound Card | Processes audio signals, enabling the computer to produce sound through speakers or headphones. |
| Monitor | Displays visual output from the computer, allowing users to interact with the graphical interface. |
| Keyboard | An input device used to type text and execute commands on the computer. |
