psoas major & iliacus mm. attach inferiorly to lesser trochanter of femur - major flexors of thigh
psoas test raise thigh against resistance causes pain if psoas is strained or kidney, ureter, or pancreatic inflammation
common iliac nodes drain into lumbar trunks & their associated nodes
lumbar trunks join to form cysternal chyle at base of thoracic duct
