| Boycott | A punitive ban that forbids relations with certain groups, cooperation with a policy, or handling of goods |
| Disenfranchisement | Not having, or not being allowed, the vote |
| Civil protest | When ordinary citizens take peaceful action against governments policies they consider to be unjust, aiming to pressure the government to change these policies |
