refinery | a factory in which crude oil is heated and separated into fuels and other products |
reform | make changes in (something, typically a social, political, or economic institution or practice) in order to improve it. |

temperance | moderation in or abstinence from the use of alcoholic beverages |
urbanization | An increase in a population in cities and towns versus rural areas |
