Shaw v. reno North carolina changed district to include more minority districts. Someone sued and the court agreed, showing that racial gerrymandering was unconstitutional (equal protection clause)
Marbury v. madison Jefferson refused to deliver appointment of Adam's last minute appointments. Case went to court because of a law that changed the court's jurisdiction. court said the law was unconstitutional. Established judicial review (juristiction clause of Article 3)
