A provision in a state Constitution that is found to be contradictory to the U.S. Constitution is declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court.
Jurors By selecting jurors who are not biased about the case a judge can ensure that the right of a person to a fair trail is maintained by the government.
Fair Government provide public services; preserve law and order in a society, and to protect the country against foreign enemies.
Limited Government The powers of government are described in a constitution.
Legislative Branch In the U.S. and Louisiana makes the laws.
President of U.S. voted every 4 years; can hold 2 terms; must be a natural born U.S.; must be 35 years old; and must live in the U.S. Also, can be male or female and any race
Laws purpose is to protect people’s rights and their property
U.S. Constitution protects the following freedom of speech, freedom to practice religion; freedom of press People do not have the freedom to overthrow the government even though they might not agree. It is the highest law in the U.S.
If a state law was passed and it was found to violate the U.S. Constitution, then the law would be changed or repealed.
U.S. citizen being born in the U.S. even if there parents are not citizens. 14. If one is a citizen of the U.S. or becomes a citizen, he or she may serve as an elected official. (See president rules for the exceptions)

Electoral College in U.S. government, the body of electors that chooses the president and vice president.
Popular Vote the vote for a U.S. presidential candidate made by the qualified voters, as opposed to that made by the electoral college.

The number of Representatives is determined by the population.
