Amendments 1-8-- study for test

QuestionAnswer
Amendment one Freedom of the people/speech.
Amendment two Must be a well made militia to protect the people, and the right of the people to keep a army troop.
Amendment three No solider should be housed in time of peace, without the owner knowing, and to follow the law.
Amendment four Right of the people to be safe at home, papers, and against unreasonable searches in the house. They should not be violated, and no written orders shall be issued.
Amendment five No double jeopardy and you cannot take away someone’s property due to the law process.
Amendment six Protects the rights of a person who has been accused of charge for a serious crime. The people should enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, it cannot be a private trial, has to be public.
Amendment seven Jury can decide civic cases. It is possible to harm someone without actually committing a crime. For example, someone might bring a civic suit to someone against a person who refuses to pay his debts.
Amendment eight Allows for bail, which is a set amount of money that defendants promise to pay the court if they fail to appear in court at the proper time, although it is not required. Neither is excessive fines imposed, or cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.
