Militarism Glorification of the Military.
Nationalism A strong feeling of pride and devotion to one's country.
Propaganda The spreading of ideas to promote a cause or to damage an opposing cause.
Submarine Warfare A type of naval warfare that uses underwater vehicles that uses torpedoes, missiles, nuclear weapons, and advanced sensing equipment.
Convoy A group of merchant ships protected by warships.
Trench Warfare A type of combat in which opposing sides attack each other in a line dug in the ground.
Alliances Formal agreement between two or more other nations or powers to cooperate and come to one another's defense.
Central Powers The wartime military alliance between Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria and the Ottoman Empire.
Conscription "the draft", which required all young men ti be ready for military or other service.
Triple Alliance A secret agreement between Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy.
