Spray Gun

QuestionAnswer
Atomize means to break the liquid into very tiny droplets or a fine mist.
Spray gun body holds the parts that meter the air and liquid
Spray gun cup fits onto the bottom or on top of the gun body to hold the material to be sprayed.
Spray gun fluid control valve can be turned to adjust the amount of paint or other material emitted.
Spray gun air control valve controls how much air flows out of the air cap side jets.
Spray gun trigger can be pulled to open the fluid and air valves.
Spray gun air cap works with the air valve to control the spray pattern of the paint.
The spray pattern is the shape of the atomized spray when it hits the body of the vehicle.
Gravity feed spray gun mounts the cup on top of the spray gun head so that the pull of gravity helps the material flow out of the shop.
Siphon spray guns use the airflow through the gun head to form a suction that pulls the paint into the airstream.
VOC's (volatile organic compounds) gasses that are emitted into the air from products or processes.
Transfer efficiency the percentage of spray material a spray gun is capable of depositing on the surface.
HVLP High Volume Low Pressure
Fluid needle valve seats in the fluid tip to prevent flow or it can be pulled back to allow flow.
