| menorah | A candle holder used during Hanukkah. It holds nine candles. |
| mkeka | An African mat that holds the symbols of Kwanzaa. |
| Ramadan | A Muslim holiday that usually involves fasting and prayer to feel closer to God. |
| fasting | When a person chooses to go without food for a long period of time. |
| Chinese New Year | A celebration to honor the New Year in China. |
| Hanukkah | A Jewish holiday that is a time to remember the struggles Jews once had and the miracle that took place. |
