How many levels of DEFCONs are there? There are five DEFCON levels.
What happened in Cuba on October 22nd 1964? That brought the US into DEFCON 2, what is it known as? U.S Reconnaissance aircraft flying over Cuba photographed the construction of Nuclear Ballistic Landing Platforms. And was known as the "Cuban Missile Crisis".
Whats the highest level of DEFCON America has been in, and when? On October 22nd 1964, DEFCON level 2 was reached, preparing all armed forces for deployment,
What happens at DEFCON 1? Maximum readiness and immediate response, or Nuclear war.
What is a "Proxy War"? A war that is instigated by a major power, but does not become involved.
