QuestionAnswer
Uniform Regions/Homogenous Regions United by one or more traits such as political, physical, cultural, or economic
Functional/Nodal Regions Are organized around a focal point and are defined by a an activity, usually political, social, or economic that occurs across the region.
Vernacular Regions Defined by the informal sense of place that people ascribe to them - may vary widely because people have a different sense of what defines and unites these regions.
Subregions Regions that are divided into smaller area and have some distinct characteristic that separates them from the rest of the larger region
Regions Have boundaries, unifying characteristics, cover space and are created by people.
