Anti-Trust Acts

Trusts Big corporations that dominated entire industries (for example, the shoe industry or the oil industry) in the late 1800s
The Sherman Anti-Trust Act (1890) and the Clayton Anti-Trust Act (1914) laws outlawing monopolies
