Biology The study of life
Bio Is the greek word for "Life"
Logy Is the Greek word for "the study of"
Organism anything that contains all of the characteristics of life
DNA(Deoxyribonucleic Acid) Genetic material that organisms inherit from their parents
Cell The basic unit of all organisms that contains DNA
Unicelular Organisms consisting of only a single cell
Multicellular Organisms made made up of 2 or more cells
Homeostasis an organisms ability to maintain stable conditions that are necessary for life.
Growth Results in the increase in the amount of living material
