| Revenue | Income, especially when of a company or organization and of a substantial nature. |
| Writ of assistance | A writ issued to a law officer (such as a sheriff or marshal) for the enforcement of a court order or decree especially : one used to enforce an order for the possession of lands. |
| Effigy | A sculpture or model of a person. |
| Boycott | Withdraw from commercial or social relations with (a country, organization, or person) as a punishment or protest. |
| Repeal | Revoke or annul. |
| Rebellion | An act of violent or open resistance to an established government or ruler. |
| Propaganda | Information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view. |
| Committee of correspondence | Committees of correspondence were emergency provisional governments set up in the 13 American colonies in response to British policies leading up to the Revolutionary War. |
| Minutemen | A member of a class of American militiamen who volunteered to be ready for service at a minute's notice |
| Loyalist | A person who remains loyal to the established ruler or government, especially in the face of a revolt. |
| Patriot | A person who vigorously supports their country and is prepared to defend it against enemies or detractors. |
| Petition | A formal written request, typically one signed by many people, appealing to authority with respect to a particular cause. |
| Preamble | A preliminary or preparatory statement; an introduction. |
