Camera Labeling

Parts of a Camera

TermDefinition
Grip The part of the camera that you hold with your right hand.
Power Switch The (On/ Off) switch.
Mode Dial The dial on the top of the camera.
Accessory Shoe The metal piece that accessories slide onto.
Flash The button on the side of the camera, with a lighting bolt over the top of it.
Zoom/ Lens The glass and metal casing on the front of the camera.
Shutter Button The button that takes the pictures.
Lens Release The button the must be pressed to take the lens off.
Manual Focus The dial on the lens.
Lens Cap The plastic disc that covers the glass on the lens.
View Finder The glass you look through to see your subjects.
Menu Button The button that turns on the menu. (Little button the left).
Camera Info Button The button that shows the camera info. (Little button on the right).
