Coarse knob Make MAJOR focus changes by moving stage up and down
Fine adjustment Minor focusing changes
nosepiece allows you to change from 1 objective lens to another
Iris diaphragm regulate the amount of light that passes up to the specimen
Iris diaphragm lever Allows changes in the diaphragm opening and closing or increase and decrease to the specimen
Stage hole opening in stage which allows light to pass from below the stage to the lens
