| propaganda | Ideas or information intentionally to harm or help a cause. |
| Committee of corresponding | An organization that spread political ideas and information through the colonies. |
| Minuteman | During the revolution era, civilian sworn to be ready to fight with only one minutes notice. |
| Loyalist | American colonists who remained loyal to Britain and opposed the war for independence. |
| Patriot | American colonists who favored American independence |
