Navigation Acts Laws implemented that stated that the colonies could only used English ships, and can only trade with England.
Parliament An assembly of the representatives of a political nation or people.
Ohio River Valley An argument over who owned this land started the French and Indian war.
French and Indian war Also called the Seven Years' War, this was a war fought over the Ohio River Valley, it lasted 9 years.
Seven Years' War Another name for the French and Indian war, considered the first global war.
Proclamation of 1763 A law enacted by King George III, a new monarch, that stated that colonists were not to settle west of the Appalachian Mountains.
Albany Plan of Union Benjamin Franklin's failed idea to unite all 13 colonies together.
First Great Awakening A revival of religion in the colonies, people had individual relationships with god, as opposed to the church.
Jonathan Edwards One of the most well known Great Awakening preachers, delivered a famous sermon called sinners in the hands of an angry god.
