How did the Treaty of Paris benefit the British? Great Britain gained all of the French lands east of the Mississippi River except new Orleans & a few fishing islands
Why did France lose to Britain ? Britain had sea power. France did not. The British colonies had 20 times more people as the French colonies. British colonists were self reliant & would take action w/out waiting for orders from Britain.
George Washington Major of Virginia militia. Delivered letter telling French to vacate a French fort per the Lancaster Treaty.
General Edward Braddock British general in charge of building a road to Fort Duquesne. This road led future colonists to inland waterways w/out having to cross the mountains.

Albany Congress 1754, Conference where Ben Franklin proposed a union of the British colonies of N. America for security and defense.
