What were the challeges of Reconstruction? What were the goals of Reconstruction? The Challeges of Reconstruction might have been Black Codes in the South, Lnyching, and the KKK. Most Southerner did not support Reconstruction The goal of reconstruction was to be able to bring America back together agian after the Civil War.

What were the Civil War Amendments? The Civil War Amendmants were the 13th Amendement - Slavery is no illegal you can not own a slave in the north or south 14th Amendment - Everyone no mader your race is equal under the law 15th Amendment - All men no mader you race may vote
What are Civil Rights? Civil Rights are given to evryone that is a citzen in a country, They all have equal rights under the law.
Who/what were the Radical Republicans and how did they help the African Americans? The Radical Republicans helped the African Americans that lived in the South by making schools and giving out jobs food and places to live for the people that did not have much to start off with.
What was the Military Reconstruction Acts of 1867? The Military Reconstruction Acts of 1867 were were 5 Union generals and their armys would go down into 5 districts in the South to make sure that they were fallowing the rules like the 14th and 15th Amendments
What is Sharecropping and why was it used? Was Sharecropping and good or bad thing? explain Sharecropping is were you give someone a place to farm, tools, seeds and so on. In turn the person farming the land needs to place 50% of what they made to the landlord and a small fee. They will also need to buy overpriced things from the landlord
Who was the Ku Kulx Klan? What were they doing? The KKK is a terrorist group that targets African Americans, immagrants, and people that are trying to help the people in the south as well as Scalawags (Southerners that helped/supported Reconstruction)
What happened in the elcetion and presidency of Grant? Grant was curpoped by the people that he worked with because they did not do the things like asked. They also took money from the poeple and unstead of put it to good use like making new roads and schools it went into their pockets.
How did Grant try to weaken the K.K.K? Grant was able to weaken the KKK by passing The Enforcement Laws of 1870 and 1871 (also knowen as The KKK Act) this made the KKK illegal and to be in this group was strictly forbidden.
What happened and why did the Panic of 1873 happen? The Panic of 1873 was when the econmy went down stock markets crashed and unemeploment was very high. Grant gets the blame for this because he was the president at the time.
What was the compromise of 1877 and why was it important? Why is this considered the end of Reconstruction? The compromise of 1877 in the North Hayes would be the next president. In the South all soldiers would go back to the North, Hayes needs to include at least ONE southern in his cabinet and the South will get some money for reconstruction.
What is the legacy of Reconstruction? In your opinon was Reconstrcution a good or bad thing? Pros the Union was restored, African Americans get citizenship and rights, and public schools are created. Cons rise of the KKK, sharecropping, many white poeple lose interest to help the African Americans, and there are now two political partys.
the 10% plan (Lincolns plan to help the Union after the war) had many parts. A. they were going to pardon former confederates. B. Americans only required that you have 10% of your state pleage loaylty to the American Government.
