American Revolution

QuestionAnswer
Who fought in The French an Indian War? The French and The British.
Why was there a war/conflict? They all wanted land.
What was the effect of The French and Indian War? The colonists had to pay tax and The British got more land.
Why did the British pass the sugar act? The British parliament passed the law because The French and Indian war was expensive.
What does "No taxation without representation" mean? Making a rule without the colonies getting a say in it.
Why were the troops sent in? To keep the peace between the colonists and the British.
what does bias mean? Particular opinion about something. Someone’s strong point of view.
Why were the colonists upset with the British? Because they had to pay a large tax on tea and could only buy tea from the British.
What was a effect of the colonists dumping tea into the Boston Harbor? The British government got angry.
What was the Boston Harbor Blockade? British ships blocked the Boston harbor and prevented ships from entering and leaving Boston.
What was the Permission to meet? Colonists needed permission to meet in small groups; a British official would need to watch over the meetings.
What was the Quartering? Colonists needed to house the British soldiers. This made the colonists more upset and angry with the British.
Is the "I Have a Dream Speech" a primary or secondary source? Primary.
Is a textbook a primary or secondary source? secondary.
