QuestionAnswer
Puritanism The belief that Protestant worship should be simplified and regulated.
Autocracy A system of government where one person holds absolute power.
Theocracy A system of government in which religious officials rule in the name of their god/gods.
Vengeance Punishment or retribution for the sake of revenge.
Heathen An insult given to a person who does not belong to a widely held religion.
Villainous To be guilty or capable of crime or wickedness.
Ordinance A law or a piece of legislation.
Individualist A self-reliant person or a non-conformist.
Paradox A contradictory statement or situation.
Ideological The act of basing decisions on a system of ideas and ideals, even if unrealistic.
Manifestation The appearance of a ghost or spirit.
Magistrates A civil officer who administers the law and conducts court.
Spectral Evidence Evidence based off of testimony describing ghosts, ideas, or visions.
Conjured To make a spirit or ghost appear, as if by magic.
Faction A small dissenting/disagreeing group within a larger majority.
