| Electors | Official voters, chosen by the popular vote, who elect the President and Vice-President. |
| Influence | To have an effect on; persuade |
| Majority | More than half. |
| Mass Media | Print or electronic forms of information. |
| Op-ed Pieces | Section of a newspaper or magazine that includes letters of public opinion on a topic. |
| Precinct | Geographic area with a specific number of voters |
| Propaganda | Techniques used to influence people’s thoughts and behaviors. |
| Registrar | Government official responsible for ensuring citizens are legally registered to vote |
| Reasoned Choices | Decisions made by evaluating information |
| Special Interest Group | Group of people united by ONE idea that lobby government officials to make laws regarding their issue.. |
| Vote | A choice that gets counted |
| Voter Turnout | Percentage of voters who actually vote in an election |
