How did the Algonquin people live? Lived in wigwams, moved their villages into the forest in winter to be closer to the animal, traveled on foot in canoes and along trails
How did the Haudenosaunee people live? Lived in longhouses with many families, depended on farming surrounding villages with a stockade
What were wigwams? Made of trees and bark, fit one family, hole in the roof to relase smoke, one door
What were longhouses? Made of trees and bark, fit many families, very large, had partitions to give each family privacy, no hole in the roof, two doors
What were the three sisters? Corn, beans, squash
