| Socialism | a political system where the goverment rules in the interests of the workers or common people |
| Bloody revolution | when a regime is overthrown without anyone being killed |
| Democracy | a political system where the goverment or parts of it are selected by the people |
| Genocide | the deliberate killing of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group with the aim of destriying that nation or group |
| Excavation | the action of excavating something, especially an archaeological site |
| Anthropology | science of the origins and social relationships of humans |
| Artifact | a man-made object that has historical value |
| Civilization | a society in an advanced state of social development |
| Dynasty | a sequence of powerful leaders in the same family |
