New Jersey Plan Plan for representation in Congress favored by small states; proposed equal representation and one house legislature
Virginia Plan Plan for representation in Congress favored by large states; proposed representation based on population and two house legislature
Great Compromise created two houses in Congress; one based on population (Virginia Plan) and the other gave equal representation (new Jersey Plan) to each state.
Three-Fifths Compromise Three out of every five enslaved Africans would be counted for representation
