What did early humans spend most of their time doing? Hunting, gathering, and making clothes/food/shelter
Why did nomads move place to place in large bands? Because then they have a better chance of getting food
What jobs did early women have? Females made clothes, raised children and cooked
What jobs did early men have? Males hunted and built shelter
How did Paleolithic people survive during the Ice Age They changed their diets, built better shelters, and used fire to the best of its abilities
How did early people express themselves? By painting on the side of cave walls.
What is a theory about why early humans painted pictures of animals? They thought painting them would bring good luck to their hunting.
According to scientists, where did modern humans first begin to appear? East Africa
When do historians believe the Old Stone Age existed? 2.5 million years ago through 10,000 years ago
What is Pre-History? Pre History is before writing/recording was a thing.
What is culture? A way of life
What does Paleo and Lithic mean? Where did these terms come from? Paleo- old, Lithic- rock, these came from greek origin.
How did the people in Paleolithic life survive? They made shelter of grass/straw and cooked their food.
How did they create tools/weapons in the Paleolithic age? They made them out of bones, stone and wood.
What does the cave paintings and artwork from early humans tell us about them? How they hunted/ what they would do/ they tell us about their culture.
How do we know that people in the Paleolithic age were religious or spiritual? They buried/creamated bodies religiously.
What is migration? When people/ animals move from one place to another
What is Afroeurasia? The nickname for the contents of europe - asia - africa.
What is the definition of history ? Things that happened a while ago that we study now
