1. Explain the terms of the Great Compromise. It gave us a bicameral legislature which set up our house of representatives which is based off of population and the Senate.
2. Explain two problems in the Articles of Confederation that were corrected in the Constitution. The states had the most power and it was corrected to be that the federal had the most power. The national government couldn’t tax under the articles but now they can both tax under the Constitution.
3. Explain two beliefs (for both) the Federalists and the Anti-Federalists. Federalists: Want a stronger central government Anti-Federalists: They don’t want to ratify the constitution because they think that the state rights and individual rights will be violated.
4. List and explain three amendments to the Bill of Rights. #2 – the right to bear arms #5 – the right to remain silent #4 – no unreasonable searches and seizures
5. Explain one responsibility of each of the following branches of govt. Executive: enforce laws Legislative: make laws Judicial: to interpret the law
