Articles of Confederation

What are the Articles of Confederation? America's first written Government.
Who were the 2 Georgia signers of the Articles of Confederation? Abraham Baldwin and William Few.
What was the 3/5 compromise? Support of slavery that allowed states to include slaves in the population count, Slaves counted 3/5 of a person.
What was the Great Compromise? when Abraham Baldwin, who created the Great Compromise, went from Unicameral (one house) to Bicameral (two houses)
Strengths of the Articles of Confederation: Set up Republican form of Government, established a self Government for the nation, and some of the powers, Declare War, coin money, Establish Post office, send/recall ambassadors
Weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation: Not a strong National Gov't, No leader controlled the gov't, Congress couldn't establish a national army without permission from the states, taxes not collected, Laws could be made but not forced to obey, each state had one vote, no laws about trade
