Stamp Act

What is the Stamp Act? Required colonists to buy a government stamp for almost every paper document
Who was affected by the Stamp Act? All English colonists.
Why the Stamp Act? Needed to raise money to pay for the French & Indian war.
What two events happened in Boston that showed the colonists were mad and rebellious with England? The Boston Tea Party and the Boston Massacre.
What were the groups opposing England called? The Sons of Liberty
What is taxation without representation? Where someone is required to pay taxes to a government
Georgia was the only colony that paid the Stamp Act. What did the other colonies think about that? They felt that Georgia was unworthy of the kings consideration
