RP Field Test

List Prep Work Notify, Inspect Area & Gauge (close all bleed valves), install fittings Flush TC Open 4,3,2,1 Close 1,2,3,4
Test 1:CV 1 Closed Tight or Leaking Step 1: CV 1 Closed tight or Leaking- Attach HSH (Red) to TC 2 & LSH (Blue) to TC 3 & Loosely attach Bypass (Yellow) to TC 4 until needed
Step 1 of 3: CV 1 Closed tight or Leaking- Attach HSH (Red) to TC 2 & LSH (Blue) to TC 3 & Loosely attach Bypass (Yellow) to TC 4 until needed
Step 2 of 3: CV 1 Closed tight or Leaking- Open TC 3 & LSB, Open TC 2 & HSB (to get air out gauge & hoses)
Step 3 of 3: CV 1 Closed tight or Leaking- Close OSOV (#2 SOV) AND, then close HSB (watch needle climb) then close LSB & record reading 5psi > continue
Test 2: RELIEF VALVE OPENING POINT Step 1 of 1 Record Relief Valve Opening Point: Open HSCtrlV 1 turn & open LSCtrlV 1/4 turn (when RV drips take that reading) 2psi > continue. Close LSCtrlV
Test 3: CV 2 CLOSE TIGHT OR LEAKING Step 1: Record CV 2 Close Tight or Leaking - Bleed BP & tighten BP on TC 4 (while bleeding), close BP Ctrl V & open TC 4,
Step 1 of 2: Record CV 2 Close Tight or Leaking - Bleed BP & tighten BP on TC 4 (while bleeding), close BP Ctrl V & open TC 4,
Step 2 of 2: Record CV 2 Close Tight or Leaking - Bleed LSB (to reestablish the zone) Open Bypass 1 turn & observe RV drip, take reading (if 3 psi > Record CV 2 = Holding Tight)
Test 4: CV 1 Differential Step 1 of 1 : Bleed LSB & take the reading when the gauge settles (Record reading under 1st CV) must be 3 psi greater than RVOP
Test 5: Outlet Shut Off Valve Close Tight or Leaking Step 1: Close TC 2 (Observe gauge if OSOV leaks the gauge will fall to 0 psi) Record OSOV closed tight or Leaking
Test 6: CV 2 Differential Step 1: Close vent control, close TC 3 & 4 Remove hoses (high, low and vent) Attach LSH to TC 4 & bleed Attach HSH to TC 3 & bleed Close HSB & allow needle to climb Close LSB
Final step
Close all TC, Remove all hoses, open all needle valves, slowly open OSOV to restore water to customer
