Cyrus McCormick Inventor of the mechanical reaper in 1834.
I.M. Singer Inventor who invented the sewing machine in 1851.
Charles Goodyear Inventor of vulcanized rubber in 1839 and developer of a process to make rubber stronger so it could be used to transport goods.
Robert Fulton Inventor of steam powered ships in 1807.
Samuel Morse Inventor of the telegraph in 1837.
Know Nothing Party This group formed to limit all immigration to the U.S.
Cotton Gin Farming tool that made it easier to remove seeds from cotton.
Steel Plow Farming tool that made tilling up the ground much easier.
Mechanical Reaper Farming tool that made it easier to harvest wheat.
Sewing Machine Invention by I. M. Singer in 1851 that allowed for fasting stitching of cloth to make clothes versus a person doing the work.
Vulcanized Rubber Invention by Charles Goodyear in 1839; most popular in the form of tires.
Steam Powered Ships Invention by Robert Fulton in 1807 that allowed for faster transportation of products along rivers.
Telegraph Invention by Samuel Morse in 1837 that allowed for faster communication which linked different parts of the country together.
