TermDefinition
Age of Exploration Began in 1400s when countries sent explorers from Europe to the Americas to create colonies.
Exploration To travel to an unfamiliar area to learn more about it.
Colonization When one country controls another for money.
Colony An area of land that is controlled by another country.
Continent One of the main land masses of the globe (Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Australia, and Antarctica).
Glory Something that is a source of honor, praise, or fame.
Culture The behavior (e.g. language, food, dress, dance, art) and beliefs (e.g. religion, holidays and traditions) of a country or group of people.
Latitude Imaginary lines that are seen on a map or globe going east and west; used to help determine a location.
