| Inductive Reasoning | This is the reasoning used to develop an actual theory and moves from specific observations to broad generalizations. |
| Deductive Reasoning | This reasoning moves from a broad theory to specific observations that may support or counter that theory. |
| Aesthetics | The branch of philosophy concerning the principles of beauty and artistic taste. |
| Epistemology | he branch of philosophy focused on investigating what distinguishes belief from opinion. |
| Metaphysics | The branch of philosophy focused on abstract concepts such as being, knowing, and cause. |
