Bill of Rights
| Term | Definition |

| Assemble | The individual right or ability of people to come together and collectively express, promote, pursue, and defend their collective or shared ideas. |
| Attorney | A lawyer. |
| Bear Arms | Keep and carry firearms. |
| Fundamental Rights | A set of rights that are recognized under the laws of a country to protect their citizens. These laws protect these rights even from the governments themselves |
| Petition | A formal written request, typically one signed by many people, appealing to authority with respect to a particular cause. |
| Jury | A body of people (typically twelve in number) sworn to give a verdict in a legal case on the basis of evidence submitted to them in court. |
| Press | The news media given the right to report news or circulate opinion without censorship from the government by the Bill of Rights |
| Freedom of Religion | Protected by the Bill of Rights, Congress can make no law about or to stop it. |
| Free Speech | A principle that supports the freedom of an individual or a community to articulate their opinions and ideas without fear of retaliation, censorship, or legal sanction. |
| Bill of Rights | The first ten amendments to the US Constitution, ratified in 1791 and guaranteeing such rights as the freedoms of speech, assembly, and worship. |
