Geographic Regions

| Physical Features | The natural environment, such as landforms, elevation, water features, climate, soil, natural vegetation, and animal life. |
| Political Region | The natural environment, such as landforms, elevation, water features, climate, soil, natural vegetation, and animal life. |
| Vegetation | The patchwork of plant species across the landscape. |
| Appalachian Mountains | A system of mountains in eastern to northeastern North America. |
| Great Lakes | A chain of deep freshwater lakes in east-central North America: Superior, Michigan, Huron, Erie, and Ontario. |
| Great Plains | The grasslands of the central United States. |
| Mississippi River | The longest river of North America. |
| Rocky Mountains | A major mountain system of western North America. |
| United States | The third-largest country in the world by area. |
