Conclusion: Official break with Great Britain America became a free and independent country
British: Strengths Were well equipped + well trained. + large strong and powerful army.
British: Weeknesses Had to cross Atlantic Ocean + used mercenaries as soldiers
American: Strengths Fight for a cause they believed in and they got help from European Nation
American: Weeknesses Untrained, poorly equipped soldiers. +small navy
Battle Strategies: British Had to defeat New England for all the other colonies to give up.-Had to use the water routes to attack from Albany, an important city in New York. Went through swamps, trees, etc. And to take out the Patriots when they still have an untrained army
Battle Strategies: American Had to wear the British down, surrond them, and take over quibec. Washington had to protect them because they weren’t very powerful. They had to fight for freedom and their rights.
Help from Europe The victory of Saratoga gave the Patroits forign help from the Europeans. It came form the Britan’s enemy, France and Spain. Even Holland joined to fight on the side of the Patroits.
