What kind of government did the Aztecs have, and how was it different from the Mayans? The Aztecs had a theocracy government, and instead of multiple god-kings ruling multiple cities they had one God-king rule all
What kind of ritual did the Aztecs lead to keep their sun god happy, and how often did they do it? The Aztec priests made the sacrifice of human blood to keep the sun god happy, they did this daily
What caused the Aztecs problems in 1502? The Aztecs ordered the people they had conquered to hand over more people to sacrifice, then the people that they conquered rebelled against being sacrificed
Who was at the top of the Aztec social structure? Who was in the noble class of the Aztec social structure? The emperor was at the top of the Aztec social structure. In the noble class was made of military leaders, priests, and goverment officals
Who was Topiltzin and what did he try to do to the Aztec religion? Topiltzin was a Toltec king, he tried to replace the warlike god with a peaceful one called Quetzalcoatl, the Feathered Serpent, the people rebelled against following this new peaceful god
What was the name of the pact the Aztecs formed with two other city-states? The Triple Alliance
What was the main Aztec city? Tenochtitlan
What was the base of the Aztec empire? The Aztec empire was based on military conquest and collecting tribute/wealth from conquered peoples
