| caste | The social hierarchy of India created by the Aryans that divided the Indian society into groups based on a person’s birth, wealth, or job. |
| class | the system of ordering a society where people are divided into groups based on social or economic status. |
| subcontinent | a large, distinguishable part of a continent, such as North America or southern Africa. |
| outcast | a person who has been rejected by society or a social group. |
| legacy | an amount of money, or property left to someone in a will. |
| enlighten | give (someone) greater knowledge and understanding about a subject or situation. |
| tradition | the transmission of customs or beliefs from generation to generation. |
| monsoon | A seasonal wind that causes wet and dry seasons. Effects which crops they can grow and when they can grow them. |
| meditation | to spend time in quiet thought for religious purposes or relaxation |
| reincarnation | the belief that the soul, upon death of the body, comes back to earth in another body or form |
| isolate | cause (a person or place) to be or remain alone or apart from others. |
| innovation | a new method, idea, product, etc. |
