dict, tele- , neo-

QuestionAnswer
contradict v. to say the opposite of something someone else has said; to deny the truth of something.
dictation n. the act of speaking words that someone writes down or that a machine records; the act of dictating words.
dictator n. a person who rules a country with total authority, often in a cruel or brutal way.
predict v. to say what will or might happen in the future.
verdict n. the decision made by a jury in a trial; a judgement or opinion about something.
neonatal adj. of, relating to, or taking care of babies in the first month after birth.
neoclassical adj. relating to a style of art or architecture like the ones found in ancient Greece or Rome.
televise v. to broadcast something by television.
telecommunication n. the technology of sending and receiving signals, images, etc. over long distances by telephone, television, satellite, etc.
telescope n. a device shaped like a long tube that you look through in order to see things that are far away.
