Delta | Landforms at the mouth of a river. |
Fishery | A place where lots of fish are caught. |
Arabian Sea | Off of the southern coast of Yemen and Oman. |
Bay of Bengal | Off of the South-East coast of India, South of Bangladesh. |
Indian Ocean | Directly South of India. |
Himalayan Mountains | Tallest mountain range in the world. Home to Mt. Everest. Known as the "Rooftop of the World!" |
Indus River | Begins in Tibet, runs through India and ends in Pakistan. |
Ganges River | Begins in India, Ends in Bangladesh. |
Huang He (Yellow River) | Known for it's yellowish color. Nicknamed "China's Sorrow." Starts in China, empties in the Yellow Sea. |
Mekong River | Begins in the Tibetan plateau, runs through China, Myanmar (Burma), Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and ends in Vietnam. |
Yangtze River (Chang Jiang) | Longest river in China. South of the Huang He river. Starts and ends in China. |
Sea of Japan | West of Japan, North-East of N. and S. Korea. |
South China Sea | South of China, in-between Vietnam and the Philippines. |
Yellow Sea | End of the Huang He (Yellow river). East of China. |
Gobi Desert | A desert in China. North of the Taklimakan desert. Known for it's chilly climate. |
Taklimakan Desert | A desert in China. South of the Gobi desert. Known for its grassland like features. |
Korean Peninsula | A peninsula where North and South Korea is located. |
