Unrest and Revolt in Texas

Centralist someone who believes power should be concentrated in the national government among a few leaders.
Revolution a movement to bring about change; the overthrow of a government by those who are governed
Siege a blockade; surrounding a city or fort to cut it off from supplies.
Delegate a person acting as a representative for others​
Republic type of government with elected representatives​
Courier a messenger generally delivering correspondence​
Treaty an agreement between governments​
Ad interim temporary
War Council meeting held to decide on a course of action, usually during battle​
Federalist someone who believes in sharing power between the states and the national government
Retreat movement by soldiers away from an enemy because the enemy is winning or has won a battle​
Cavalry soldiers who fought on horseback​
Reinforcements people and supplies that are sent to help or support an army, military force, etc. ​
