Exploration The act of traveling to an unfamiliar area to learn about it.
Gold A yellow metal which is used in jewelry and decoration and is also very valuable.
Historians An expert in history of many different thing.
Major Eras Multiple eras with very important events.
Mapping To make a map of a unrecognized area.
Relative Chronology Chronology that determines near the time of a feature or event.
Settlement A place where people establish a community.
1519 The year when Europeans started to explore Texas.
Age of Contact The era where Europeans started exploring Texas and finding more information about it Which spanned from 1519 - 1689.
Cabeza de Vaca and Alonso Álvarez de Pineda Two important explorers who were involved in key events during the discovery of Texas.
