Ancient American Civilizations

TermDefinition
Migrate Or travel.
Culture A set of beliefs and way of life that is special to a certain group.
Hunter-gatherers Instead of staying in one place, they traveled to hunt and gather food.
Agriculture Planted and raised their own food.
Civilization Cultures with these complex ways of life are called.
Irrigation They built systems for bringing water to dry fields called Irrigation.
Adapt Change.
Bison A large animal that once roamed the plains by the millions.
Economy Is the system by which a group makes,shares,and uses goods.
Nomads moved often to search for food.
Government Systems for making rules and decisions.
Council might be made up of leaders from the group's main families.
League A group whose members share the same goals.
Ancestor A relative who lived in the past.
