autocracy a form of government where one leader holds complete power to rule
autocratic characterized by one person making decisions with little or no input from others
censorship the act of limiting what people can hear, see, or say in the media
citizen participation the process by which people exercise their right to influence government
democracy a form of government in which the people rule, either directly or through elected representatives
democratic characterized by allowing all members to have an equal voice in making decisions
dictator the powerful ruler of an autocracy
free election a genuine opportunity for citizens to vote without fear or intimidation and to have their votes counted fairly
government a system of rule by which a country, state, or other political unit is managed
voting the formal act of expressing one’s individual opinion or choice in order to make a decision for a group
Monarchy a form of government with a monarch at the head. Usually inherit their role. Power can be absolute or limited
Absolute Monarchy form of government in which a monarch has total control of a country
Constitutional Monarchy a form of government where the monarch is limited by a constitution. Usually a ceremonial role
