Technology technology is the knowledge that people use to improve their way of life. for example, technolodgy helpd people find new ways to travel and to make new foods and medicines.
compass a compass is an instrument that shows directions.
astrolabe an astrolabe is an instrument that measures how high in the sky the sun, stars, and planets are.
monarches a monarch is a king or queen.
enslaved to enslave is to force people to do something against their will.
mainland the mainland is the land that is a part of a continent.
colonies a colony is a place ruled by another country.
circumnavigate circumnavigate means ro sail all the way around.
tributaries a tributary is a river or stream that runs into a larger river or stream.
log a log is a journal written by the captin of the ship to record the events that happen on the trip.
